Caro Gräff

Carola Gräff-Emrich was born in 1969. She lives with her husband, a dog, a cat, and four adult children in the beautiful town of Dieburg in Hesse.

From her earliest childhood, creative endeavors have always fulfilled her. She has explored and further educated herself in various creative techniques.

In landscape pouring, Carola combines two of her favorite aspects of life: painting and traveling. She paints landscapes that she has discovered during her travels and finds incredibly beautiful. Through her paintings, she invites viewers to immerse themselves in these landscapes and shake off the dust of everyday life from their souls.

In Pouring (from the English “pour” or “flow”), highly pigmented acrylic paints and/or pure pigments are made fluid. These are layered in a cup and then poured onto a canvas. By pouring and allowing the colors to flow, interesting effects and abstract structures are created. The results are unpredictable and uncontrollable.

In landscape pouring, features of the landscape such as meadows, water, or mountains are poured. Structures obtained in this manner are further elaborated, and individual motifs like trees and houses are added by painting with a brush.
